Support the power electrical team to analyze systems, create software models, and write reports for power delivery or generation projects
Assist with project design, specifications, and plans support
Review work with quality in mind to confirm compliance with quality standards
Studies performed may include (per candidate experience): Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination studies using ETAP, SKM or Easy Power
Load Flow / Reactive Power Analysis
Neher-McGrath Thermal Ampacity studies using software like AmpCalc or CYMCAP
Relay setting development using SEL AcSELerator
Partner with the electrical team to create calculations and drawings for power delivery and/or renewable energy projects.
Qualifications 3+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer for an engineering firm or EPC
EIT or PE certification or path to move towards certification is preferred
SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, CYMCAP Experience Preferred Understanding of the NEC, NFPA70E and IEEE standards.
General understanding of engineering and energy systems.
Load Flow, Coordination, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash studies basic theory and methodology
Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam) is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to work and manage several project teams concurrently.
The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
