Description SFE is looking for an Assistant General Manager to Support the General Manager of Food Services with all aspects of the operations including but not limited to: Production, HR, Finance, Marketing, etc. Assist the GM with overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, customer service, food quality, cleanliness, sanitation and district satisfaction.
Responsibilities :
Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to SFE recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of the facility, and sanitation/cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with SFE and the district's policies and procedures
Make employment and termination decisions consistent with General Manager's guidelines for approval or review
Fill in where needed to ensure the ultimate customer service experience as well as maintain efficient operations
Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
Communicate with district administrators/clients to ensure expectations are being met
Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with SFE and district receiving policies and procedures
Oversee and ensure that SFE policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis
Schedule labor as required by using M.P.L.H. (Meals Per Labor Hour) while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met
Ensure that all students, staff, and parents feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
Fully understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal laws, regulations, and rules including those that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements in regards to SFE, district employees, customers and operations
Provide advice and suggestions to General Manager as needed
Assist GM with monthly manager meetings and training
Ensure that the Company's operations for which this position is responsible follow sound financial practices, comply with applicable legal requirements and comply with established practices in all regards
Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of subordinate employees
Responsible and accountable for all aspects of the activities and operations related to the site to which you are assigned and for the duties within the scope of the position's responsibilities

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with an academic major in areas including food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field.
3+ years of foodservice experience, school foodservice preferred
Basic knowledge of food and beverage typically seen in front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
Basic knowledge of Microsoft: Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook
Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with other Managers, Directors, Administrators, students and parents
