What You Will Be Doing
Oversee the design, planning, and completion of electrical systems including lighting, power, light safety and security systems
Build and maintain client relationships
Performing QA/QC of design work
Leading project teams and serving as the primary contact for discipline for clients
Coordinating work with other disciplines
Overseeing and providing guidance of junior engineers
Assisting with the procurement of new work, including the development of client relations and participation in project interviews
What You Need for this Position
Electrical engineering knowledge: A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, electrical codes, and industry standards is essential for designing electrical systems and calculations for lighting systems.
Design software proficiency: Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other similar software is necessary for creating detailed design documents.
Project management skills: Project management skills are required for leading project teams, coordinating work with other disciplines, overseeing and providing guidance to junior engineers, and ensuring the timely completion of projects.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with clients, project teams, and other disciplines.
Attention to detail: Attention to detail is necessary for performing QA/QC of design work to ensure that all designs are of high quality and meet the requirements of the client.
Leadership skills: Strong leadership skills are required for leading project teams and serving as the primary contact for discipline for clients.
Client relations: Experience in developing client relations and participating in project interviews is essential for assisting with the procurement of new work.
Industry knowledge: A good understanding of the industry trends, technology, regulations, and safety standards is crucial to develop effective and efficient electrical systems for buildings.
