We are looking for a passionate, people-focused, self-motivated, and dynamic Project Designer with the ability to build meaningful relationships and to lead the design/production effort on projects of varying sizes/scopes that impact everyday people, every day of the week.
A typical and great day for you would be collaborating with co-workers on all phases of design including initial programming, planning, feasibility, scope, and concept development, and providing drafting support through detailed design and construction documentation. You are encouraged to participate/volunteer in an industry trade organization.
*Qualifications* • Passion for people; is an active listener seeking to understand before any response is given • Has a desire for self-improvement, continuing education and self-reflection. • Minimum 2 years of experience in architecture, interior design, or construction in a similar role • Basic functionality in relevant computer software:
o AutoCAD and Revit - there will be a test for both
o SketchUp and Enscape
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Adobe Creative Suite • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as time management skills • Dynamic and captivating presentation skills
*Essential Duties* • You get to have personal interactions with EVERYONE through building and maintaining meaningful and authentic relationships. We're a little old school that communication is key: in person is best, phone/text is next and written correspondence is for record keeping. • Simply, you are a kindness giver. You are an ambassador of kindness by being an example of responsiveness, attention to detail, caring about the people involved. • Your opinion counts - so give it! Have an opinion with creative solutions, and also be ready to follow directions. • Be an accountable, communicative self-starter. Not that you'd go rogue or anything. We expect that you'd freely review all projects daily with senior staff by discussing status on milestones/deliverables, emails and other correspondence received or required, and ideas for any improvements or modifications to current project deliverables. • Be dependable for all deadlines you set for yourself or may be given. • Details matter! You'll be responsible to provide strong drafting skills • Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork! It sometimes feels like it takes a village to complete some of the work we need to. • You make sure it all gets done! Most of our work requires submittal to jurisdictional agencies. Each one has its own rules and regs - you make sure we get our work done the way they want to see it! • Show the world who we are, what we're about, how relationships matter and why we believe we're different. You'll get to represent Camber and True Collective by actively participating in professional organizations and social functions.
*Job Type* • Part to Full-time • Salary: $55,000-$80,000 depending on experience and qualifications • This is an in-office position.
