Position Summary

The Analyst, Inventory, is responsible for the setup and management of all Direct to Consumer (DTC) inventory programs. This role requires analytical skills, interpersonal skills working cross-functionally and an ability to understand market dynamics.  The Analyst will develop an intimate knowledge of Constellation’s wineries and product portfolio and work on a variety of projects and support inventory movement, 3PL management, SKU performance, at-risk/obsolescence inventory management, and logisitics as it relates to DTC. This role will be a Subject Matter Expert for specific portions of SAP Material Management and Production Planning modules.

Responsibilities



  • Responsible for daily inventory management for all DTC programs including wine club, ecommerce, hospitality tasting rooms and consumer loyalty.




  • Forecast and review inventory requirements and replenishment by SKU to maintain optimum inventory flow based on the forecasted future sales coming from financial targets delivered from the cross-functional DTC teams. Manage inventory levels to turn targets.




  • Review and pull data to identifying transactional misses, and assist in managing potential at-risk/obsolescence material (Dry Goods and Finished Goods).




  • Work with other DTC Analysts to review DTC forecast, current inventory stock, previous sales, and projected runout to determine how much product to bring into third-party logistcs.




  • Understand and able to execute transactional process of Sales Orders, Inventory movement, EWM, etc. and knowledge sharing of SAP functionality often.




  • Partner with the DTC Ops team to develop allocation strategies and with E-commerce team on site merchandising opportunities. Identify potential inventory liabilities and take action to maintain inventory targets.




  • Management of At-Risk/Obsolescence to reduce potential write-off risk and overstock issues.




  • Define and roll out inventory related metrics and reporting. Deliver monthly inventory report to all cross-fuctional teams for full visibility to DTC inventory.




  • Set up new products/collateral in Shopify, SOVOS/ShipCompliant and WineDirect portal




  • Review velocity reporting and maintain minimum inventory levels to minimize backorder situations and customer service situations.




  • Coordinate all aspects of wine inventory transfer from Constellation warehouse facilities to shipping fulfillment services, events, wineries, and other locations. Includes coordination, delivery, and inventory of all DTC collateral materials.




  • Manages relationships and customer service with shipping fulfillment services, including inventory reconciliation and coordinating two physical inventories a year.




  • Collaborate with wine club team and ecommerce staff with all customer service returns, resolution, and tracking.




  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tracking of product availability, inventory levels and vintage transitions. Provide all data to broad cross-functional partners on a weekly basis.




  • Communicate end of month compliance procedures with DTC stakeholders, including updated list of current unshipped orders and reporting back to legal compliance team to ensure proper tax reporting can be done.




  • Maintain trucking vendor relationship including scheduling pickups and invoice approvals.




  • Other duties as assigned by manager including backup for ecommerce or wine club coordinators.



Minimum Qualifications



  • Analytical acumen: ability to think critically, provide recommendations based on historical performance




  • 1-3 years experience in logistics, wine shipping and customer service




  • Strong understanding of inventory management required




  • Experience in logistics, shipping or customer service




  • Extensive knowledge in SAP: S/4 HANA Supply Chain (Material Management and Production Planning modules)




  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office




  • Exceptional project management skills: attention to detail, time management and communication skills necessary




  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively, set priorities, and accomplish a wide variety of tasks with tight deadlines and a high degree of accuracy




  • Must be a team player



Preferred Qualifications



  • 3+ years experience in logistics, wine shipping and customer service




  • Experience using models to optimize decision making between demand, supply, sales & operations




  • Relevant experience in the wine industry or direct-to-consumer fulfillment preferred




  • Knowledge of ShipCompliant, WineDirect, and Shopify a plus

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.




  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required.

The salary range for this role is:


$69,500.00 - $102,100.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
