Civil Design Technician, AutoCad
We seek a detail-oriented and motivated Civil Design Technician to join our dynamic engineering team serving rural, underserved communities. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of civil design principles, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and engineers. You will play a crucial role in designing and drafting civil engineering plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other design software.
Assist in designing and laying out infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and site grading plans.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and specifications.
Review and revise design documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and company design standards.
Provide technical support during project planning, implementation, and construction phases.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on design and project development.
Lead, or have the ability to grow into leading, the company's AutoCAD design standards, methods, and procedures and communicate to all of the company's AutoCAD users.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Civil Design Technician or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Familiarity with civil engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as an Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD or equivalent
Experience with GIS software and other relevant engineering tools.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $90,000, based on relevant experience
