Job Description:

The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial functions of the company. This role involves evaluating and implementing financial controls, developing and executing financial strategies aligned with company goals, preparing and managing budgets, and overseeing all accounting operations. The Finance Director also conducts financial analysis, manages cash flow, identifies financial risks, and ensures effective internal financial practices.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and maintain responsibility for the company's financial functions.
  • Evaluate, implement, and support the effectiveness of internal financial controls.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee cash management, including budgeting, billing, collections, vendor payments, payroll, and audits.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and develop cash flow projections.
  • Oversee the development and breadth of talent in the finance team, including career paths and succession planning.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of the finance team.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and productivity.
  • Maintain and improve the company's financial practices and manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and CPAs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement profitability analysis, cost control initiatives, and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide recommendations and insights to key stakeholders.

Education & Experience
  • Master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3+ years in a senior finance leadership position.
  • 10+ years in a financial leadership role preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and distribution preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of US financial accounting requirements, GAAP rules, and accrual-based accounting.
  • Experience with third party financial audits.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Proven experience in strategic and financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
  • CPA certification preferred.
