Position Overview:

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead our financial operations and strategic vision. In this high-visibility role, you will ensure we meet the highest standards in financial compliance, reporting, and profitability while guiding the financial direction of our business. You will oversee critical areas such as forecasting, decision support, commercial underwriting, and financial reporting. Additionally, you will play a key role in business development by contributing to pricing strategies that align with our long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy: Drive the development and execution of our financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ensuring long-term growth and financial stability.

Executive Decision Support: Provide executive-level decision support, guiding strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and improve profitability across the organization.

Financial Reporting: Lead the financial reporting process, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial data is delivered to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including GAAP, DCAA, and DCMA, reinforcing our reputation as a reliable government contractor.

Financial Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with financial partners, leading successful financial planning efforts and presenting compelling financial narratives to senior leadership.

Systems Enhancement: Enhance and scale financial systems, particularly ERP platforms like Deltek Cost Point, to support the company's growth and ensure operational efficiency.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate across teams, partnering with business development and operations to refine pricing strategies, improve processes, and drive profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degrees (MBA, Master's in Finance) are highly preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in senior financial leadership roles, with a strong focus on government contracting or the manufacturing sector.

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Extensive knowledge of DCAA and DCMA regulations, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance within complex, highly regulated environments.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within established government contracting firms, particularly in the defense or manufacturing sectors.

  • Expertise in rate management, cost allocation, and compliance with government contract standards.

Desired Skills:

  • CPA certification or other relevant professional qualifications are strongly preferred.

  • Experience driving financial strategy and operations in large, established companies, particularly in manufacturing or defense sectors.

  • Proven experience in optimizing and scaling finance functions within a complex organizational structure.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and foster collaboration across multiple departments.
