Job Description:

A Global Manufacturer based in Lancaster County is seeking a Product Manager with experience in managing NPI projects to join their US HQ. This Product Manager will report to VP of Product Management, streamline NPI projects from development, project planning, executing, go to market, manufacturing, etc. This is a permanent opportunity with lucrative base compensation, bonus structure and competitive benefit.

Responsibilities:
  • Report to VP of Product Management, act as subject matter expert for the assigned new product development projects, oversee the planning, budgeting, executing of NPI project.
  • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information, conduct market research on product application, field test with customer on existing customer and gather customer feedback on issues, new demand, etc.
  • Work closely with R&D and Engineering, support new product development from concept develop, prototyping, testing, etc.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and forecast market demand on new product vision.
  • Define product roadmap and features, work closely with sales team and marketing team to develop product marketing strategies, and go to market plan.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Manager, Marketing team, customer service team to assess data concerning product application, quality, customer feedback, demand trend, further modify product strategies accordingly.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, tradeshows, visit customers, suppliers, overseas factories, and Global HQ as needed. reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Recent experience as Product Engineer, Product Manager, Application Engineer or related field within manufacturing fields, exposure to textile, rubber, plastics, polymer, chemicals is a plus.
  • Solid experience in New Product Development and Project Management within technical discipline.
  • Proven track record of working with large customers, strong influencing skill and drive for results.
  • Excellent leadership skills and communication skills, ability to collaborate with diverse group of personnel internally and externally.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
