Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a full-time Network Engineer II to work in a hybrid setting for our client in Irvine, CA. The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the organization's network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls. This role involves monitoring network performance, researching new technologies, and assisting in the implementation of upgrades and security measures. The engineer provides Tier 2 support for escalated service desk tickets and mentors junior staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain daily operations of all network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and access control servers.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance across the organization's LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into the enterprise environment, and support the implementation of new systems and procedures.
  • Help manage and administer the security and authentication networks, as well as the remote access infrastructure.
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of upgrades to networking devices and security updates.
  • Support the management and administration of the telecommunications network.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for escalated service desk tickets, following established protocols, and mentor junior Network Engineers.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
  • At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting and configuring rule sets and IP Security Tunnels using Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting and configuring rule sets and IP Security Tunnels with Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting and routing Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
  • At least 3 years of experience with Enhanced Exterior Gateway Routing Protocol (EGP) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience establishing connections with service providers using BGP.
  • At least 3 years of experience in routing and switching, preferably with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus 9k and 3k, and ASR/ISR routers.
  • Willingness to travel around Southern California to data centers approximately 10% of the time.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • At least 2 years of experience with Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA).

Compensation/Benefits: Base pay: $120k + $30k in OT + 15% Bonus + $8,500 yearly in education reimbursement = $176,500 total comp
