Job Description:
The Director of Operations will play a critical role in the operational backbone of the organization, ensuring seamless communication between the CEO and department leaders. This key leadership position is responsible for the oversight of daily operations, driving efficiency, and implementing strategic initiatives. The Director will report to the CEO, facilitating cross-departmental coordination, managing key performance metrics, and supporting the successful execution of the company's vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate closely with department leads (technology, finance, business development, marketing, member outreach, fulfillment, HR, administration, and contracting) to ensure all activities align with the leadership's strategic goals.
Daily Reporting: Provide regular updates to leadership on key operational metrics, progress, challenges, and decision points across departments, ensuring the CEO has a clear understanding of the organization's operational health.
Implementing Leadership Directives: Execute strategies and initiatives across all departments, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving operational success.
Facilitating Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the CEO and department leaders, streamlining communication to reduce bottlenecks and ensure information is shared efficiently and accurately.
Operational Monitoring: Establish and maintain reporting structures, monitor department performance indicators, and provide the CEO with actionable insights focused on member success, fulfillment efficiency, and technology performance.
Problem Solving & Alignment: Collaborate with department leads to troubleshoot operational challenges and align department activities with overall company strategy. Present solutions and recommendations to company leadership for approval and implementation.
Strategic Execution: While managing day-to-day operations, provide valuable input on broader strategic decisions by offering data-driven insights from across departments.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in an operations leadership role at an organization or division with revenue greater than $100 million, preferably within a mission-driven, fast-paced, and cross-functional organization.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple departments and deliver consistent results.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a liaison between executives and department heads.
A strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset; comfortable with analyzing operational metrics and making informed decisions.
Ability to manage complex problems, identify solutions, and align cross-departmental efforts with the company's mission and vision.
Experience in operational monitoring, reporting structures, and facilitating communication at the leadership level.
Familiarity with technology, fulfillment logistics, and customer service in a subscription-based or service-oriented business model is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
