About the Job: As the Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for:
Review requisitions received; MRP and inventory and determine materials needed
Source and comparative price all materials for assigned commodity responsibilities
Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers
Purchase all materials for assigned commodity responsibilities
Initiates purchase orders and bid requests
Expedite all materials for assigned commodity responsibilities
Responsible for the timely planning, scheduling of receipt and inventory control of products and services as assigned
Coordinates the planning of recent schedules and inventory control parameters for assigned products and services
Define, adjust, and monitor stock parameters to ensure smooth production and maintain control over inventory value
Monitor lead times to align with production requirements and maintain a fluid process
You'll manage the sourcing process, securing materials, and services to keep production running smoothly
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years prior experience purchasing materials required
Manufacturing industry preferred
Salary: $70,000 depending on experience
Job Status: Direct Hire, full time onsite Monday - Friday
