San Jose Construction Group, Inc has an immediate need for skilled Estimators, for both vertical and horizontal type of Projects, to join their Team. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Estimator and the Pre-Construction Manager, contributing to the financial success of Projects and driving overall Project excellence. A minimun experience of 2 years is required.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage construction budgets for Residential, Commercial and Heavy Civil Projects (vertical and horizontal Projects),
Analyzing RFP's / RFQ's, construction drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates for public and private bidding,
Engage in effective oral and written communications with subcontractors regarding estimates, minority certifications, etc
Coordinate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, incorporating it into estimates,
Oversee the appropriate distribution of documentation upon Project award,
Maintain Project files and correspondence, ensuring organized documentation,
Collaborate with Business Development, Pre-Construction and Construction Teams to ensure Project success,
Foster positive relationships with Project Managers, Consultants and subcontractors,
Skills:
Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or any other equivalent experience,
Previous experience in Commercial/Residential and/or Heavy Civil construction
Proficiency in reading and understanding RFP/RFQ/IFB docs, construction drawings and specifications,
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, etakeoff and estimating softwares, RS Means or similar data bases, others...
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team,
Attention to detail and strong communication skills,
Highly organized with a drive for continuous improvement,
Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills,
