We are seeking a skilled Teradata Developer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with Teradata tools and utilities, data warehousing, and ETL processes. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Teradata databases to support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Modeling and Development:
Design, develop, and maintain Teradata databases, including schema design and data modeling.
Optimize database performance, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of data.
Create and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and macros.
ETL and Data Integration:
Develop ETL processes using Teradata utilities such as FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport, and TPT.
Integrate Teradata with other data platforms and systems.
Work with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, or similar) to move and transform data.
Performance Tuning:
Perform query optimization, analyze query performance, and recommend improvements.
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, ensuring efficient query execution.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements for data reporting and analysis.
Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Teradata SQL or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and other developers to ensure data solutions meet business needs.
Provide support for ongoing data warehouse operations and ensure data quality and integrity.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience working with Teradata and related tools.
Strong knowledge of Teradata SQL, utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, BTEQ, TPT), and database architecture.
Experience with ETL processes and tools.
Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and database design.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to write complex SQL queries.
Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data integration tools is desirable.
Certifications: Teradata certification is a plus.
