Position Summary:

The selected candidate will play a critical role in W&M's transition to Workday, performing project tasks to include participating in business process design sessions, inventorying/mapping reports, creating test scenarios, testing and troubleshooting issues, and helping design system security. This role will also support current business operations, including tasks such as reviewing interface jobs, loading data, and running reports.

  • Information Security: This position requires administrative access to the College's information systems and/or sensitive College data. The selected candidate is expected to be aware of and adhere to the Information Security policies of the university as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Additionally, the selected candidate is expected to follow information security best practices applicable to their job area and to pursue information security training and awareness opportunities when possible.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent training, education or experience.

  • Strong understanding of HR functions and processes.

  • Experience implementing or supporting Workday HCM.

  • Proficiency in querying a relational database (e.g., with SQL).

  • Ability to create test scenarios for unit and end-to-end testing.

  • Proficiency in Excel or similar application.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.








Preferred Qualifications:



  • One or more years as a Workday analyst or similar role, including experience with Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Absence, and/or Payroll & Time Tracking.

  • Experience managing Workday security.

  • One or more Workday certifications.

Advertised Pay Range:

Up to $76,000
