 Summary:

This position provides administrative support and task completion for the time keeping requirements of the job site.  This position requires consistent accuracy and daily completion of all payroll, timekeeping, and reporting information for the customer. The Time Keeper Specialist will assemble and maintain a filing system to allow tracking and record keeping in support of the site and the respective databases, regularly communicate with supervisors and the management team regarding payroll, overtime, and overall customer service issues. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, in addition to the structure of a database consistent with company functions

Essential Functions:

Accurately compile payroll and timekeeping data including hours worked, wages paid, job and cost center, and any hourly adjustments from daily time sheets and other records.  

Generate weekly reports, input required data into company database systems and the customer reporting system. 

Coordinate with HR, Payroll, and other company areas to assure accurate data and timely updates to all record keeping systems.  

Compile data and generate reports from personnel records and daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Experience with Microsoft office, specifically Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook as well as SAP if possible.

Ability to work congruently among multiple databases, understand how the databases interact, and sequencing work so that data is neither lost nor confused in the process.

Must be able to precisely work with attendance records, gate logs, and payroll functions to ensure correct pay for employees, and cost accounting for the employer.

Quickly familiarize with forms, methods and processes of both T E C Industrial and the customer, and communicate effectively with company and customer representatives.

Generate correspondence and facilitate communication using telephone, radio and pager systems and assist in daily functions of office in any additional capacity deemed necessary by the Human Resource Manager.

Accuracy, reliability, and consistency are critical attributes for any individual successfully performing this role. Perform other duties as necessary.

Critical that the Time Keeping Specialist works well within the team, with an ability to seamlessly perform all of the tasks in the time keeping function and coordinate with other team members as necessary.

Support other administrative duties and Document management tasks as assigned to help with business operations on the site

Minimum Qualifications 

2 Years employment experience in an administrative capacity, working in the payroll or timekeeping functions

Capable of effectively using Microsoft Office products, most importantly Excel, Word, Access & Outlook

A professional and prompt demeanor at all times

Extensive capabilities in multiple database management, cultivating and maintaining employee and customer relationships, and detail oriented tracking of all payroll and attendance data.

 

Education and Experience:

A High School degree and two (2) to five (5) years of experience in the payroll or time keeping functions, OR

Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in a high volume and time critical administrative setting.

Any similar combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated positive professionalism in working in an office environment desirable.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The job requires occasionally remaining on one's feet in an upright position without moving for long periods of time, occasionally moving about on foot for long periods of time, remaining in a seated position for long periods of time, and/or climbing stairs, step-ladders, extension ladders and scaffolding ladders. The job also requires the ability to raise or lower an object of approximately 5-50 pounds from one level to another, the ability to transport an object of up to 50 pounds a distance of up to 10 yards, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder, the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves away from the force, and/or the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves toward the force.
