Position Summary: The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. This role supports the production department through fixture design, manufacturing process specifications, programming, and equipment specifications. The engineer will analyze and solve quality and process control problems on existing production work and introduce new processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Design and procure fixtures.
Improve and document existing processes.
Diagnose and resolve manufacturing problems.
Process Improvement:
Recommend process changes for improved quality and efficiency.
Strive for maximum efficiency in both personnel and space utilization.
Production Support:
Set up machines and check parts in production.
Work with outside vendors.
Support Sales and Product Managers by assisting with sales calls and customer visits.
Company Goals Support:
Maintain professional standards of conduct with superiors, colleagues, and production personnel.
Ensure the care of manufacturing equipment, physical grounds, and departmental office equipment.
Ensure product quality meets company goals to prevent damage, loss, or fines.
Handle business contacts with resourcefulness, tact, and a working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality regarding manufacturing know-how, patents, etc.
Qualifications:
4 year degree
Sound Knowledge of Engineering Theory and Manufacturing
Proven experience in designing and implementing manufacturing processes.
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external vendors.
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and process control
