As the Ingredient Prep Shift Supervisor, you will contribute to CAVA's success by coordinating team members and prep activities and monitoring procedures and standards to achieve consistent high quality products produced in an efficient manner. Our ideal candidate is self motivated, highly organized and a natural leader.


As a Shift Supervisor, you will:
• Supervise prep team and departmental processes during the assigned shift. Coordinate and delegate daily tasks as required by production schedule. Address minor issues as they arise and work with production manager to resolve.
• Effectively translate and execute daily work orders to produce prepared ingredients for the hummus, blended dips and sauces for batching departments.
• Audit quality and inventory of raw materials needed on a daily basis and communicate deviations and projected needs to the quality and procurement team in a timely manner.
• Maintain food safety and quality by ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation procedures are followed. Master and train team members on the cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and surfaces (food contact and non-food contact) necessary to achieve food safety and quality goals.
• Demonstrate and effectively communicate to team members the setup, operation, safety protocols, cleaning requirements and basic maintenance of prep equipment including (but not limited to): Hand-operated knives and cutting tools, scales, vegetable slicing/dicing machine, can opener, gas cooktop, Doyon Oven and vegetable sanitizing equipment.
• Review and verify all departmental documentation (food safety, quality, sanitation, maintenance and production) is thorough and accurate.
• Assure coordination with other departments to ensure efficient flow of operations through the production facility from raw materials to finished products.

Our Shift Supervisor will need
• 4 years experience working in a food production facility
• 2 years in a manufacturing leadership role
• Ability to converse with team members in both English and Spanish
