As a Lab Tech, you will perform routine analysis on raw materials, process streams and products by applying both routine and special techniques. The ability to work in a team setting and individually with minimal direction, resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and collaborate with others are keys to success!

For a Lab Tech II

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Performs chemical, physical, or scientific analysis applying both routine and special techniques in compliance with all safety and quality control standards
  • Collaborates with company partners to achieve facility and operational metrics
  • Maintains quality control standards within the laboratory
  • Collects, analyzes, and processes laboratory samples to ensure compliance and quality
  • Performs maintenance, repair, and calibration on laboratory equipment
  • Generates and records appropriate data, perform analytical calculations, and complete vital documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years related experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering or related field and a minimum of five (5) years' experience within the Petrochemical, Manufacturing or related industry
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:
  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools
  • Wear protective equipment, gloves, uniforms, and other articles of safety clothing
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
  • Available to work after hours, rotating shifts, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as the need arises
  • May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
  • Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, testing, and problem solving skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with plant operations, lab testing, and lab testing equipment
  • Proficient in gas chromatography analysis and maintenance
