Lead with Impact as the Senior Manager, Business Analytics - Retail


At Hanesbrands Inc., we are redefining the business analytics in the apparel industry, and data is at the core of everything we do. As the Senior Manager, Business Analytics - Retail, you will lead a team of talented analysts and work at the intersection of data, strategy, and retail sales. Reporting to the Director of Business Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our company's retail strategies by translating data into meaningful insights that drive sales and channel strategy, optimize operations, and enhance partnership with our retail partners.



Responsibilities



  • Business Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of HBI's business strategies, objectives, and competitive landscape. Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product, finance, and supply chain to utilize data-driven analytics in support of decision making that drive business outcomes, results, and value.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of analytics projects. Cultivate a culture of business-focused analytics that drive business outcomes and business value. Oversee business analytics initiatives and ensure the delivery of actionable analytics that improve decision-making.

  • Business Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute data-driven strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Lead your business analyst team to identify critical business challenges and growth opportunities, proactively using analytics to propose inventive solutions that drive growth, efficiency, cash generation, and profitability.

  • Data Analysis: Oversee and conduct the collection, cleansing, and analysis of data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business value.

  • Reporting and Visualization: Lead the development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key performance metrics and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Director Business Analytics and key stakeholders across departments, including marketing, finance, operations, and product development, to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.

  • Communication and Data Storytelling: Effectively translate analytical findings into actionable, business-focused actions. Effectively communicate decision support narratives to senior leadership and stakeholders. Develop and coach the business analytics team in effective communication and data storytelling.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in analytics, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance analytical capabilities and drive innovation for you and your team.




Minimum Education/ Experience



Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or related field with 10+ years relevant work experience. 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree



Preferred Education/ Experience



Master's degree 8+ years relevant work experience



Specific Skills or Experience Required



  • 8+ years experience in a senior analytics role, with a track record of success in leading high-performing teams.

  • Retail planning/operations experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.




Job Specific Competencies



  • Experience with data

  • visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business impact through data-driven decision-making.Knowledge of business intelligence concepts and methodologies, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies is a plus.
