Position Overview:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced LIHTC Property Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of LIHTC regulations and accounting practices, as well as a passion for affordable housing.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting for LIHTC properties, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and manage cash flow for assigned properties.

  • Oversee rent collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Ensure timely submission of required compliance reports and tax credit applications.

  • Collaborate with property management to support operational needs and provide financial insights.

  • Assist in audits and work closely with external auditors as needed.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting, preferably with LIHTC properties.

  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
