The Ivers Research Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Center for Global Health is seeking a Research Assistant with a data analysis focus to support global public health research and scholarly activities.
The Ivers lab focuses on research addressing barriers to health inequities, including epidemiology, public health, and observational and intervention research in Haiti and sub-Saharan Africa. We have a focus on diarrheal diseases, infectious diseases, and social determinants of ill-health such as food and water insecurity. Projects range from population-level studies to field epidemiology.

This is a 2-year funded position with potential for renewal.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Collects & organizes data, maintains records and databases
Uses software programs to clean data, generates graphs, and reports
Conduct preliminary data analysis and report summary of results with guidance from the PI
Manage data tools
Conducts library searches
Verifies accuracy of study forms, Updates study forms per protocol
Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures
Assists with study regulatory submissions
Writes consent forms
Assist with the creation of and/or training on project-specific data collection systems
Supports preparation of IRB documents
Liaise with local and international partner organizations to provide program support.
Performs administrative support duties as required
Qualifications
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. M.Sc. in life sciences field with a quantitative major; epidemiology or biostats is an added advantage

Working knowledge of data management program
Proficiency with standard office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard internet application Familiarity with other software packages, or ability to learn new ones, such as Stata, SAS, R, Redcap, NVIVO, or Microsoft Access is a plus
Demonstrated interest in health equity and social justice preferred.
