Position: Systems Administrator

Location: Irvine, CA - Onsite Required

Position Description:

The successful Systems Administrator will be a highly organized self-starter who supports and maintains the company's IT resources including software, hardware, and networked systems. This role will have a primary focus on network design, Microsoft Azure cloud network design, and network and cloud security. This position has significant opportunity help design a stable, scalable, and secure infrastructure.

Required Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Extensive customer service experience as this role will regularly interact with our users and development teams
  • Team player able to effectively interact cross-functionally with a variety of individuals with different competencies and backgrounds
  • Self-propelled work ethic with ability to stay on task and focused with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule, and travel up to 25%
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Technical problem solving, project management, dependability, initiative, and professionalism are of the utmost importance
  • Extensive knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, and SonicWall network equipment is a requirement
  • Experience in the design and deployment of complex local and cloud networks is a requirement
  • Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN technologies
  • Microsoft 365 Administration experience and Azure network design experience required
  • Experience with network monitoring tools is beneficial

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in enterprise role with a strong knowledge of network design and security with complex Microsoft Azure environments
  • 5+ years in enterprise role with a strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems, networking design/protocols, and virtualization in highly regulated industries
  • 5+ years in enterprise role with a strong knowledge of VMware and other virtualization technologies
  • 5+ years in enterprise role with a strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
  • Strong knowledge of system security (operating systems, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.)
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work both within a team environment and independently

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as the Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP Enterprise/Datacenter, VMware Certified Technical Associate/Professional
  • 5+ years of experience managing a complex network infrastructure in a Defense Industrial Base organization, including both local networks and Microsoft Azure networks.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and supporting development teams

Security Clearance:

It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to be a US person and be eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and DoD Clearance.

Salary: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00

Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
