Role Overview

The VP of Technology will guide the strategic direction and modernization of our technical infrastructure to support critical business needs. This role involves leading digital transformation initiatives, including core operations, information security, customer service, data analytics, project management, network management, user experience (UX), software development, and vendor relationships.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's short- and long-term goals.
  • Lead digital transformation efforts to modernize operations, enhance productivity, and improve user experience.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT systems to support business growth.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT department.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Implement best practices for project management.
  • Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including data privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate IT-related risks.
  • Governance and Compliance: Oversee IT policy and procedure development to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Change Management: Establish procedures for managing changes to technology systems, including software and hardware updates.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems and enterprise software solutions, including implementation.
  • Knowledge of data management, analytics, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team.
  • Strong project management skills and strategic thinking.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Candidate Preferences:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.

Physical Requirements:

Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 25% or less walking, and 25% or more standing. The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and primarily in an office environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. is required.

Other Requirements:

Requires working six days a week during peak seasons, which usually lasts about 10 weeks. Shift schedules may vary, as operations run 24/7 during peak periods.

Pay: $180,000 - $250,000 annually + BONUS
