The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee large-scale data center construction projects. As the General Superintendent, you will play a key role in managing on-site operations, ensuring the successful and timely completion of projects, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires someone with exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Coordinate all field activities, including scheduling, work allocation, and resource management.
Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance measures.
Interface regularly with project stakeholders, including the client, owners' representatives, and internal teams.
Monitor project progress, addressing any issues that may affect timelines or budgets.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment of field operations with project goals.
Provide regular reports on construction progress, performance metrics, and any potential risks.
Review and ensure proper completion of daily field reports, RFIs, and change orders.
Manage inspections, commissioning, and handover processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry (data center experience strongly preferred).
Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
Experience as an owner's representative is a plus.
Ability to travel as needed.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Certifications:
OSHA 30 certification or equivalent (required).
PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
