We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Lead with extensive experience in automation testing and API testing, specifically using the Karate framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the banking or financial services domain, with a preference for experience in the credit card sector.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the development and execution of automated test scripts for various applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Design and implement automated tests for APIs using the Karate framework, ensuring functionality, reliability, and performance.
Mentor and guide a team of QA engineers in automation best practices, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute test strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Generate testing metrics and reports to communicate test progress and quality status to stakeholders.
Evaluate and implement new testing tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the testing process.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in Automation testing using Selenium and API testing using the Karate framework.
Strong background in banking or financial services, with a focus on credit card processing.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Groovy, or JavaScript.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Experience with performance testing tools is a plus.
