Job Description:

The Executive Director, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy is responsible for all aspects of Cybersecurity, including IT Data Privacy, Risk Management, Resiliency, Compliance, Governance, Seim, Asset Management, Identity & Access Management, Auditor Reports, and the overall IT Policies & Procedures, and Security Awareness & Training Activities across the Company.

The individual helps to drive the cybersecurity program for the Company to ensure that it adopts, executes, maintains, and publishes security standards, processes, and procedures company-wide to ensure our posture is in line with the Company's business strategy and framework.

The individual is accountable for managing, maintaining, and developing our security strategy, programs, and operations security requirements.

Core responsibilities include overseeing compliance of information assets and ensuring they are adequately protected with acceptable levels of controls. The success of this individual and program will be directly attributed to a leader capable of understanding the environment and driving resources and actions necessary to mature our practices.

This role will serve as a key contributor to privacy and compliance initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a staff of information security professionals, hire and train new staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members.
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive Security and IT Risk Management program that aligns with the company-wide enterprise risk management framework
  • Coordinate and lead efforts to build a culture of compliance around information security and compliance. Manage training and dissemination of security policies and practices.
  • Assist the Manager of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery with the development/enhancement of effective disaster recovery policies and standards to align with company business continuity management program goals.
  • Lead the operation of security services such as vulnerability assessment, threat monitoring and incident response.
  • Conduct accurate and timely threat assessments across all areas of responsibility. Coordinate responsive actions for disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response plans.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to management on a broad range of information security standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Help coordinate organizational efforts in response to security events.
  • Develop and maintain the company's information Security policies in accordance with best practices and policy lifecycle management,
  • Maintain appropriate security measures and mechanisms to guard against unauthorized access to electronically stored and /or transmitted data and protect against reasonably anticipated threats and hazards.
  • Manage technology related risks for internal systems as well as third parties.
  • Oversee operational resiliency program as it relates to technology interactions both internally and externally.
  • Ensure compliance to Information Security policies and practices.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry and regulatory trends and developments for the enterprise technology. Leverage best practices to continually improve information risk management and governance.
  • Provide KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and related reporting.
  • Adheres to other defined SOPs as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT security field, infrastructure, and operations. Major in Computer Science, Technology, Information Security, or another related field preferred.
  • Certification required in one of the following: CISSP, CISM.
  • Strong background in information technology finance and experienced in ERP implementations
  • Prior experience coordinating within operating divisions. Ability to make decisions and final recommendations which routinely affect the activities of others.
  • Strong knowledge of personnel practices. Strong knowledge of effective writing techniques. Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with end-users, IT peers, managers, and vendors
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
