ORDER FULFILLMENT & OUTBOUND SR. MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Order Fulfillment & Outbound Sr. Manager to join their team in Garland, UT. In this role, you will coordinate operations to ensure that customer service levels are met or exceeded and that financial goals are achieved. In addition, the position is responsible for establishing consistent communications across functional teams within the distribution center-including our Order department and Customer Service team-as well as with external partners such as third-party vendors. Applicants should have experience utilizing sophisticated WMS/WCS and other automated systems and equipment, including RF equipment, sortation, conveyor systems and forklifts. The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and can work independently, take appropriate actions and provide thorough follow-up.
ORDER FULFILLMENT & OUTBOUND SR. MANAGER JOB DUTIES: • Planning and monitoring daily labor needs based on immediate and forecasted order and unit volumes • Ensuring all orders and receipts are processed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner • Training and developing leaders on proper processes and procedures • Working to maintain a high level of associate morale and recognition, keeping the annual turnover rate at an acceptable level • Establishing goals, performance criteria and measurement processes to proactively manage employees • Partnering with the distribution center director of Operations and Human Resources business partner to ensure adequate staffing levels for present and future needs; actively participating in the hiring process • Maintaining a working knowledge of and complying with all company policies and procedures • Monitoring standard procedures and recommending new procedures when necessary to ensure that the overall operation runs effectively • Consulting with the distribution center director of Operations and Human Resources to ensure consistent use and enforcement of facility and department policies and procedures • Working closely with managers, supervisors, and lead personnel to improve the quality and effectiveness of the overall operation-setting and driving toward continuous improvement goals • Contributing to an effective safety and security program and ensuring compliance from warehouse associates • Overseeing the development of associates by providing tools and cross-training that help team members contribute to the total operation •ORDER FULFILLMENT & OUTBOUND SR. REQUIREMENTS: • Candidates must have prior experience in a distribution center • College degree or 7+ years of equivalent experience required • Minimum 7+ years of experience within a high-volume distribution center • Talent for managing team members with differing skill levels and enabling them to achieve performance and quality standards • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is expected • Strong attention to detail
