Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading house looking to hire a Senior Physical Metal Trader to be based in Houston, Texas (or remote from the US).
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Source and sell physical metal commodities.
Build and nurture customer and supplier relationships whilst also negotiating logistics and financing with suppliers.
Manage physical and derivative risk positions, including hedging through exchanges such as the LME.
Attend client meetings and industry events (20-40% travel).
Develop commercial proposals considering competition and market dynamics and make informed decisions based on this.
Reports to Commercial Trading Director.
Key Qualifications / Experience
Minimum 3 years physical trading experience
Experience with primary non-ferrous metals: copper, zinc, lead, aluminium.
Must have experience working with the LME.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Must have strong knowledge / understanding of hedging and risk.
To be located in Houston or work remotely from North America (must have US citizenship).
