Manage all plant specific and program specific Procurement needs.
Lead RFQ process to quote supplier needs, negotiate pricing and terms, and properly contract all new business awards within defined budgets
Interaction with the program team, plant, suppliers, and customers; participation in relevant team meetings
Implementation of purchasing processes and objectives within the program
Managing and communication of all purchasing issues related to the program, including engineering change orders
Develop and manage sourcing strategy in adherence with purchasing manager, duration of RFQ and lead on value analysis process, commercial negotiation, preparation of sourcing recommendation, finalization and negotiation of purchasing-related contracts and agreements with suppliers
Managing commercial details on all purchasing parts
Explore the market for new materials, supplies and processes in order to develop new sources and/or generate cost benefits and/or risk reductions
Cost Saving Initiatives: Initiate projects that will lead to cost savings
Ensuring adequate contracted capacities at suppliers
Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the supervisor and Plant Manager for Safety related matters requiring immediate attention.
Interaction with Operations and current production facilities for supplier-related topics throughout the program life.
Understand and comply with company EHS policy
Strong data analysis skills, ability to interpret data to make recommendations. Reporting and presentation abilities.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Management, Engineering or Equivalent
Professional /Technical Training:
PC / common working knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Knowledge / experience in project work
Facilitator-/presentation techniques
SAP / common working knowledge
Skilled negotiator
Intermediate to advanced Analysis skills
Technical understanding of product, parts and equipment
