The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for maintaining and optimizing database systems. Their tasks include developing best practices, deploying databases, handling day-to-day operational activities (such as capacity management, backup, and recovery), managing database replication, and reviewing ongoing database changes. Additionally, they collaborate with other teams to address issues and ensure the smooth operation of large-scale SQL Server databases (General MS SQL) on Windows Server platforms. All software focused, no hardware, and available on an on call 24/7 basis.
Qualifications:
5 + years of experience.
SQL Server 2019 administration experience
SQL Server performance tuning
SQL Server Index analysis and optimization
Must be able to write SQL queries including basic data analysis
SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and other replication models
Experience with SQL Server backup and recovery processes.
Basic understanding of Windows Failover Clustering
Basic Windows Server 2019 administration
Proficiency in database installation, configuration, and tuning.
