MAU is hiring a Quality Engineer for Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC. As a Quality Engineer, you will manage customer complaints, process customer returns, manufacturing support, internal/external customer support, Lessons Learned, product/process documentation, and technical problem-solving. You must work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Project Management, and other departments to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve our Gasoline System Products and process quality to deliver a positive customer experience. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or a closely related field
General Requirements:
Superior computer skills, including MS Office, SAP, and statistical software
Superior written and oral communication skills to independently prepare and deliver presentations and proposals
Ability to interface within all levels of the organization and collaborate with product testing technicians daily
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong team facilitation skills and the ability to motivate teams and individuals not in a direct line of control to advance on improvement projects
Proven motivational skills to act as a change agent for the organization
Preferred Requirements:
3+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Tableau, Power BI, and Visual Basic Skills
Essential Functions:
Manage customer complaints
Provide internal technical support in resolving product production capability problems and defects
Work closely with customer representatives in resolving functional problems and identifying improvements
Work closely with production and support departments on machining and assembly processes and system improvements
Develop and support the use of sound system/process improvement tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, PDCA, CIP, etc.) used by the Charleston Plant Team
Implement automatic/electronic-based solutions
Complete customer quality documentation as needed (i.e., documentation for failure analysis and corrective action, customer audits)
Provide engineering support for auditing, measuring, and testing equipment
Successfully work and interact within cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
Work self-dependently on department projects to improve the cost and quality of processes
Self-dependent working capabilities: goal and result-oriented; follow and develop structured approaches for more complex tasks; coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Perform other tasks as required
