Responsibilities include managing the creation of product demos and supporting content for the Brand and Sales teams, as well as overseeing a company-wide product training program. Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and hands-on project experience in areas such as adhesives, tapes, coatings, sealants, and fillers. A strong customer focus and the ability to communicate complex scientific information in accessible language are essential. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships across various functions, including formulation, regulatory, brand, and sales.

What will your day look like?
  • Management of company-wide product training program including ownership of Sharepoint site with technical product content and management of training room and schedule
  • Support product demo creation and content for new and existing products, working closely with R&D Team
  • Provide technical sales support for entire sales team including traveling/attending PLR's, customer onboarding, PK sales meetings and sales booth attendance as needed
  • Bring to life Technical Product Excellence at Gorilla Glue
  • Provide technical support for marketing team in support of creating content, demos, substantiation for creative advertising, website, social media, how-to videos, product usage videos
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales and Customer Service providing a resource for hands on product knowledge and application expertise, performance guidelines, developing demos to showcase capabilities.
  • Some travel required, potentially 10-15%

What you bring to the table:
  • B.S. in Industrial, Chemical, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering or Technology + 3-5 years' experience or Associate Engineering degree with minimum 7 years' experience
  • Mechanical competence/hands-on skills: Competent with power equipment, wood working/machine shop equipment
  • Previous work in the areas of adhesives, tapes and adhesives a plus
  • Previous experience in customer facing role a plus
  • Strong technical foundation
  • Charisma and confidence in customer-facing situations with ability to thrive under pressure
  • Capacity to bridge technical details and customer needs while effectively representing brands
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as this role interacts with many levels within the organization and outside vendors.
  • Candidate must possess ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with a strong attention to detail, ability to identify and creatively resolve issues and risks, problem-solving skills, assertiveness, integrity, innovation and creativity.
  • Candidate must be goal oriented, confident, and able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.
  • Mechanically inclined - ability to work independently with power tools and machining tools to bring ideas to reality.
  • Ability to communicate by visually mocking up ideas or other means of visual communication.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
