We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee all aspects of on-site construction activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, managing subcontractors, and coordinating with project management to deliver successful commercial construction projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for safety, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary on-site safety officer, implementing site-specific health and safety plans, and enforcing company safety rules and policies. • Review project scope, plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and contract documents to ensure all project deliverables are met. • Track equipment and labor costs, maintaining accurate records. • Coordinate the work of all subcontractors on site, as well as inspections required by the relevant municipality. • Plan daily crew work schedules and review/approve crew timesheets and expense reports. • Procure tools and materials needed for the project to maintain the work schedule. • Operate power construction equipment, such as excavators, graders, forklifts, dozers, tractors, and loaders as needed. • Collaborate with Estimating and Project Management teams to supervise, direct, and coordinate construction projects, ensuring efficient and orderly job performance. • Act as a liaison between the owner, designers, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication and workflow.
Qualifications: • 2-5 years of supervisory experience on commercial construction projects is required. • Proven experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and managing all phases of commercial construction. • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines. • Proficient in computer programs, including Procore, Excel, Word, Outlook, Box, Bluebeam, and PDF viewers. • Demonstrated track record of successful project management as a superintendent or foreman. • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
