Job Summary: A local manufacturing plant in Shelby County is looking for a Scheduler. In this position, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining the manufacturing production schedule and implementing sourcing plans and processes for assigned products.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:
Create and maintain the manufacturing production schedules and create manufacturing work orders per schedules
Optimize production schedules in accordance with demand, available capacity, and any established stock levels
Accountable for downstream replenishment and timely release of manufacturing orders
Identify and address short-term supply constraints within the weekly process (long-term constraints within monthly process); analyze daily supply/demand alerts and plan, address, or escalate accordingly
Collaborate with QA and warehouse staff regarding rejected/defective materials, making the necessary arrangements with operations or procurement to ensure prompt replacement
Translate with Production Plan into a schedule for producing or procuring finished goods, sub-assemblies and/or outside processing services
Maintain and provide valid lead time data to sales and marketing to guard against over-committing company resources
Analyzes and recommends necessary changes to production schedules that are affected by changes in raw material and equipment as well as fluctuations in customer demand.
Work with Purchasing to make shared decisions and recommendations concerning MRP schedules, product substitution, and lead times
Follow all ISO procedures and policies.
Prepare and publish required reporting.
Schedule & Pay:
FULL TIME; Mon-Fri, 7:00am-4:00pm
$65,000-$75,000/year plus incentives

Profit Sharing: Eligibility takes approximately six (6) months from hire date. Quarterly cash payments based on corporate profits in accordance with official Plan Description (could be up to 40% of annual salary!)
Vacation: Pro-rated for 2023 (depending on hire date) and will follow the company's Salaried Employees Vacation Policy for 2024, and thereafter.

Here's What Makes YOU a Great Fit:
5 years of production/planning/scheduling work experience in a manufacturing supply chain
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, experience in purchasing is desired
Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience in a multiple production line manufacturing plant
Strong ERP systems, computer software, including MS Office experience (including SAP, JDEdwards, Excel, etc.)
Possess a "customer first" mindset to understand customer needs and exceed customer expectations, using best practice production scheduling
Data mining reporting skills through MS Excel, specifically V-lookup and Pivot tables
Ability to drive continuous process improvements and lead small scale projects
Have a strong attention to detail; must be organized and a self-starter, and able to perform role with little to no supervision
Have a strong understanding of MRP/MPS and business processes that impact message results
Possess professional business ethics and skills
Good work ethic; punctual & dependable; take pride in your work
