The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate cost estimates
- Utilize software such as HeavyBid to prepare detailed estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Provide support in project management activities related to cost control and budgeting
- Visit construction sites as needed to assess conditions for accurate estimating
Qualifications
-Minimum 5 years Experience of Architectural Woodwork Estimating
- Proficiency in construction estimating techniques and software tools
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and project management principles
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills for negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred
- Previous experience in construction estimating is a plus
