Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
M-F; 8am to 5pm
Salary: $85,000-$110,000
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The successful HR Generalist must be ready to wear a series of different hats as the need arises, be committed to excellence, and capable of working in a fast-paced organization. In addition, the ability to act on tasks quickly with little follow-up from management is vital. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for assisting with achieving the organization's overall strategic goals of the business as determined by the strategic plans. This may include recruitment tasks and providing support to employees as needed and following all policies as set forth in the Employee Handbook and Union Agreements, as well as set forth in City, State, and Federal regulations. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process including:
Assisting with identification of staffing needs using insight from internal managers.
Assisting with sourcing appropriate applicants.
Assisting with interview lifecycle from initial phone screen through offer negotiation and preparation.
Communicating regularly with senior leadership on current state of open requisitions.
Supporting Director of Operations in pay band creation and modification through market research.
Maintaining the organization's HRIS System, ADP's Workforce Now, including:
Assisting with organizing employees' Soft Copy and Hard Copy files.
Knowledge of ADP Payroll Workforce Now is a plus.
Assisting with the development and communication of HR policies.
Auditing employee HR files quarterly.
Keeping abreast of, and ensure compliance with, all Federal and State laws (e.g. FLMA, NPLA, Pregnancy leave, etc.).
Ensuring cafés display all required labor postings.
Providing and updating workplace safety and injury protocols.
Conducting HR investigations, facilitating Workers Compensation claims, and responding to agencies, as necessary.
Regularly updating, tracking, and announcing changes to Employee Handbook.
Recommending employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
• Participating in the conducting of investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
Advising managers and supervisors on the steps in the company's progressive discipline process.
