A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology
A strong understanding of network protocols and concepts sufficient to monitor and manage network services in a Cisco environment
The ability to manage Cisco layer 3 switches, Palo Alto firewalls, layer 2 edge switches, VPNs, and wireless access points
A solid understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP network stack, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to capture and analyze network traffic
The ability to act as a domain admin and install, manage, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows servers and server roles, administration of Active Directory & AD Group Policies, DNS & DHCP administration
The ability to manage and administer a clustered VMWare ESXi enterprise environment
An understanding of structured low-voltage data wiring and the ability to install and modify network closets
Experience in the administration of an enterprise VOIP phone system
Knowledge of layer 3 routing protocols and IPv6
5 years of experience with enterprise network infrastructure design, implementation, and support concepts sufficient to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot a Palo Alto, Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware network
