Position Summary:
Looking for a versatile and skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the engineering efforts on our business solutions team. This role demands a proactive approach to both development and operational challenges, with a significant focus on Python, PostgreSQL, and Azure technologies. Must be located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, or willing to relocate.
Scope of Role Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python (Django) for backend and HTML/CSS/JavaScript for the frontend.
Manage, optimize, and scale PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
Implement and maintain data pipelines, handling data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions.
Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features and services.
Utilize Azure for deploying and managing servers, virtual machines, and databases.
Work with Git and GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment processes.
Participate in code reviews, contributing to high standards of code quality and reliability.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Python with a solid understanding of Django framework.
Experience with SQL and database management, specifically PostgreSQL.
Proficient in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with Azure environment, including management of servers, virtual machines, and databases.
Strong experience with Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
Knowledge of CI/CD practices, particularly with GitHub Actions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to software development.
Comfortable taking charge on new projects and acting as the architect for the software development life cycle.
Critical Experience & Skills:
Four-year bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with additional Python frameworks like FastAPI is a plus.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or work experience.
