Key Responsibilities:

  • Design PLC-based control systems for both new and existing wastewater treatment projects, with a focus on Allen-Bradley (AB) Slick 500/5000 and FactoryTalk platforms.
  • Develop and implement PLC and HMI programs and produce electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, PLC memory maps, and programming notes, adhering to best practices for accuracy and reliability.
  • Oversee projects from inception to implementation, ensuring effective collaboration with our manufacturing and electrical teams.
  • Provide technical support, including over-the-phone troubleshooting for control system issues, and travel occasionally for design reviews, installations, and on-site support.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and documentation to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related fields accepted.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in industrial control systems design and PLC programming with a strong emphasis on AB Slick 500/5000 and FactoryTalk.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD for creating electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (NEC, NEMA, UL) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach and ability to troubleshoot equipment effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for working with customers and team members alike.
