Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in revenue cycle operations.

Data Analysis: Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Provide regular reports to senior management.

Collaboration: Work closely with clinical departments, finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of revenue cycle processes.

Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on revenue cycle processes, policies, and best practices.

Technology Utilization: Leverage technology and software solutions to optimize revenue cycle operations and improve patient experience.

Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the revenue cycle process promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in an academic medical center or large healthcare organization. Must have experience with Director-level direct reports, or higher, and leading Revenue Cycle Departments. Expert in Revenue Cycle (with deep experience in Mid-revenue cycle).
  • An extensive knowledge of professional services revenue cycle operations best practices and well versed in regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in a vital leadership position in a large academic medicine multi-specialty group practice, a large complex medical group, or other various clinical revenue cycle settings is required.
  • Experience and knowledge of clinical operations is essential to understand how to best manage revenue cycle processes often initiated by clinical operations across the organization.
