Lakes Division Project Coordinator Position Announcement
Cason Land & Water Management, LLC is a land and water resource management firm based in Berlin, WI, with a work area covering Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, and Upper Michigan. We provide professional consultations and services for managing lakes, ponds, streams, wetlands, prairies, and forests for both public and private clients.
Position summary
As a Project Coordinator in our Lake Services Division, you are responsible for the scheduling/coordination of projects, day to day activities, client relations, and lakes staff workload on your projects, as well as assisting on lakes projects managed by other staff. You will have the opportunity to travel throughout Wisconsin and its adjoining states, to assist individuals, government agencies, groups, and businesses with their land and water construction and management needs. You will also collaborate with coworkers in the Pond and Habitat Divisions for project assistance and completion.
Specific Responsibilities:
Develops and implements quality study design to provide data for the improvement of clientele lakes.
Implements management strategies and mitigation methods for the improvement of lakes.
Coordinates, schedules, and reviews staff workloads and schedules.
Monitors, manages, and orders inventory materials.
Conducts aquatic pesticide treatments and employs nutrient mitigation methodologies.
Compiles data for statistical analysis and mapping.
Composes, reviews, and prepares professional reports and maps for clientele.
Qualifications:
BS in Biology, Limnology, or Aquatic Natural Resources or related experience
2 or more years of experience in the field of aquatic resource management
Wisconsin Boater Safety Course certificate of completion, or comparable certification
Ability to lift 85 lbs or greater
Ability to travel daily and overnight
Ability to work outside in inclement weather
Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office and GIS
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skill
Must be capable of adapting to rapidly a changing environment while completing projects with stringent deadlines
Must have strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to report to office location daily
Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Applicators License, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
CDL and Hazardous Materials Certification is a plus
Pay: The position will be salaried, with the opportunity for 3% commission on individual sales. There is also the potential for profit sharing dependent on experience & qualifications. We offer a competitive starting pay package, including employer provided benefits, of up to $62,000/year. Applicants should expect a varied work week with a minimum of 40-45 hours per week during busy season (April-Oct), with fewer hours during slow season (Nov-March).
