Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Update equipment layouts and machine drawings in AutoCAD
Review machine specifications with on-site personnel and document the specifications in Excel
Travel to site locations within and outside of Cincinnati to conduct inspections on equipment, generate estimates for future capital projects, and to supervise ongoing capital projects for the current year
Co-Ops with multiple sessions of experience will take lead on small capital projects that correspond to the year that their session takes place
Minimum Qualifications:
Actively pursuing Bachelors or technical degree program with concentration in Mechanical Engineering
Strong MS Excel and PC configuration skills
Strong CAD skills
Ability, willingness, and desire to work in a hands-on, industrial environment.
Ability and willingness to travel is required.
Ability and willingness to work outside in extreme weather conditions in an industrial environment.
Ability to build relationships, collaborate and work efficiently with team members.
