The Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Clemson University is seeking applicants for a full-time academic year non-tenure track Lecturer position. The responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses, performing service to the department on committees, and participating in other activities, such as student outreach and recruitment. This position is anticipated to be hired at the Lecturer rank; however, qualified candidates may be considered at the Senior Lecturer rank. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach lecture and laboratory courses in all areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with primary emphasis on Programming (C, C plus plus, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.) and secondary emphasis on Logic Design, Circuits, Electronics or Senior Design.
The Holcombe Department of ECE is one of the largest and most active departments at Clemson University, with 44 full-time faculty members, approximately 600 undergraduates, and 190 graduate students. Annual research expenditures exceed $13 million. Members of the faculty include five IEEE Fellows, four endowed chairs, and six named professors. The ECE department offers ABET-accredited B.S. programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, along with M.S. and Ph.D. programs in both disciplines, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Photonic Science and Technology.
The anticipated start date for this position is August 2025, although an early start date may be negotiated. The selected candidate will be offered a multi-year contract which may be renewable, in accordance with the university policy for teaching track faculty.
Minimum Qualification: M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines. Preferred Qualification: Candidates with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply.
