The purpose of this announcement is to hire a temporary, part-time project director, who will develop and help to deliver a training curriculum to promote vaccination within the Clemson Extension Service, and to manage programmatic activities for the grant-funded program. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - To develop a comprehensive vaccination educational program within Clemson University's Tiger Training System that will be used to train health extension agents and other community partners who want to deliver the training program. Activities will include developing educational content, getting input from stakeholders to optimize the training program to fit the learning needs of trainees, to record interactive training modules, and to create and embed pre-post testing within the training to enable assessment of learning outcomes.
20% - Essential - To provide routine coaching and guidance to health extension agents and other trainees about how to recommend vaccines, use motivational interviewing approaches to connect with client's to support their learning needs, to answer clinical questions that arise about vaccine guidelines, and to help them to find resources for getting medically underserved clients and community members vaccinated.
20% - Essential - To work with program partners (SC Immunization Coalition, SC Department of Health, Healthy Me, Healthy SC Program) to encourage more healthcare providers and other clinical partners to participate in programs that can help to increase capacity for and documentation of vaccination in the state, including the SC Adult Vaccination Program, the CDC Childhood Vaccination Program, SIMON Vaccine Registry, and participation in community vaccination events.
20% - Essential - To oversee and track evaluation outcomes for the grant, including evaluation of health extension agents' training outcomes, vaccine promotion activities delivered to health extension clients and the community, and statewide capacity-building for vaccination.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - 1st Doctoral / Professional Degree - Nursing Work Exp 10+ years
