We provide expert consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects focusing on acquisition strategy, implementation activities, cloud computing, systems engineering, and cyber security policy and engineering.We have an immediate opening for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to provide support for the BlackPearl solution inside the US Navy. This position will be focused on the engineering tasks related to maturing and adding new capabilities to this pipeline service currently in use by customers.
Responsibilities
The Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer will:
Design and manage cloud infrastructure which includes evaluating legacy applications and systems to determine viability to be migrated or transferred to cloud services
Deploy, configure, secure, and monitor various devops services using including ContainerIQ, Argo, Flux, Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Sonarqube, JFrog, Anchore, deepdefence, Open Policy Agen, Falco, Sysdig, Rancher, Prometheus, Istio
Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal solutions
Review and develop hybrid multi-cloud solution architectures to include ServiceNow and Cloud Control Tower FINOPS automation platforms for integration into Azure services
Implement DevSecOps processes and CI/CD tools to automate software delivery platform on premise or in the Cloud
Develop automated security policy configurations for standardization of new environments using configuration management and provisioning software
Assist with implementation of test automation strategy and processes
Implement version control and artifact repositories
Create Engineering documentation and procedures to implement tools into the environment
Participate in all Agile processes to create user stories and to assist in developing Sprints and Releases
Work with other support contractors to facilitate completion of various project related tasks including, but not limited to high level policy development, architecture reviews, program increment and project readiness reviews
Participate in the creation of cost guardrails, processes, and procedures that galvanize a culture of cost ownership and efficiency
Take part in Falconwood \"Cloud Center of Excellence\" (CCoE) teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Cloud Engineer position will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation in an enterprise environment with multiple competing initiatives and tight project deadlines with many dependencies. They should have a proven track record of successfully developing complex cloud migration projects with competing priorities.
The candidate should have experience working with technical teams, stakeholders, and industry partners to identify and manage dependencies, prioritize projects, and ensure timely delivery of cloud solutions. They should have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools and be able to effectively manage project timelines, budgets, and risks.
Minimum SECRET clearance and security certification such as Sec+ or CISSP
In-depth Understanding of DevOps principles
Knowledge of software development, scripting languages, and a background in designing web services in the cloud
Experience in Linux shell programming/scripting
3+ years of experience with administering DevOps tools, i.e., ContainerIQ, Argo, Flux, Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Sonarqube, JFrog, Anchore, deepdefence, Open Policy Agen, Falco, Sysdig, Rancher, Prometheus, Istio
3+ years of experience with administering provisioning and configuration management tools like Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, Salt Stack, Puppet, etc.
2+ years of experience with containers and microservices
5+ years of experience with designing and administering Dev / Test environments
5+ years of experience deploying services and systems into a production environment
5+years of providing SME level support for an Enterprise Service Desk department
Previous participation in the design of deployment automation and experience supporting deployments
Hands on experience implementing technologies in the areas of Software Configuration Management, Environment Management, Testing Lifecycle Management, Release Automation, Workflow Management, Defect Management, and Cloud Migration
Ability to think independently with minimal oversight, as well as demonstrate exceptional written and oral communications skills
Cloud DevOps or Architect certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with Marine Corp and DON enterprise architectures is a plus
Pay Range
Salary $110k - $150k annually based on qualifications
