Position Summary:

The Physical Security Cabling Foreman supervises the cabling team in all aspects of physical security. This position leads, coaches, and trains team members to ensure quality production to meet customer requirements and deadlines. This position also works in construction and project-based engagements to ensure all safety protocols and PPE are followed. Regular, predictable jobsite attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

  • Responsible to coach, train and supervise crews on multiple projects to meet customer expectations through company processes.
  • Ensure safety is followed in performing all tasks, PPE is worn properly, and tools are in safe working condition while working in conjunction with other vendors onsite
  • Supervise and assist with the design, installation, management of incoming materials, maintenance, documentation and close out of physical security projects.
  • Perform survey, price new projects, attend meetings and propose solutions to installation issues.
  • Provide world class customer service by answering any questions or concerns throughout the scope of the project.
  • Manage the start of projects while maintaining job-site folders with all documentation including material list, scope of work, as-built drawings.
  • Identify position moves/adds/changes and facilitate communications between Human Resources/Recruiting and Engineering Supervisors/Managers. Evaluate Team Member performance and address any issues, in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Work with Project Managers to hold teams accountable towards project completion on-time and on-budget. Also work with PMs in management of installation, sub-contracted resources, and overall quality of work.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance through; interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methodology, equipment/hardware needs and project documentation as required.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel while having oversight of those responsibilities
  • Responsible for quality of work while working with direct supervisor and team towards developing a standard practice of how physical security projects are implemented.
  • Input with scheduling to get the best resources on any given project.
  • Ensure final documentation for projects (as-builds, schematics, etc.) is collected and validate it is stored correctly on the network.
  • Minimum of 1,200 hours billed per fiscal year prorated based on start date. These charge hours requirements will be balanced against professional development and on the job training.

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years in Physical Security industry

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years in Physical Security industry
  • 2+ years of experience in leading crews
  • 2+ years of experience in managing personnel

Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge in using PlanGrid software
  • Valid Driver's license

Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience
  • BICSI Technician Certification
  • Light Brigade Fiber Optic Certified
