Attendant for a 12-year-old male client. The client can communicate verbally. The client is ambulatory but needs help with some living skills and going out into the community. He likes to go to the library and park. The client needs help with meals, transportation, and needs prompting for bathing, brushing his teeth, and cleaning. He doesn't like large crowds or stores.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Proficiently communicates in the functional language of the individual to whom the CFC is assigned
Feels comfortable working in close physical proximity to individuals while frequently using touch to communicate with and instruct individuals who are primarily tactile learners
Demonstrates emotional maturity, stability, and ability to perform under stress, and possesses frustration tolerance
Shows ability to exercise good judgment, cooperation, tact, and discretion in dealing with the individual, family, etc.
Shows interest in developing additional knowledge and skills
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must NOT be the spouse of the individual to whom the CFC is assigned: or if the individual is under 18 years of age, a parent of the individual to whom the CFC is assigned.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Valid Texas Drivers' License.
