Stanford University is seeking a 9 month fixed-term Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to support the Biodesign Digital Health Group in advancing cutting-edge research into digital health solutions. This role will focus on managing clinical studies that leverage open-source, Spezi-based platforms to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.




The successful candidate will coordinate moderately complex aspects of one or more clinical studies and work under the close direction of the principal investigator or study supervisor. This includes responsibilities from study initiation to close-out, patient enrollment, regulatory compliance, and data management.







Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the primary contact for research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies.



  • Assist in participant recruitment, determining eligibility, and gathering consent as per protocols.



  • Coordinate the collection and processing of study data and manage databases and other research documents.



  • Ensure adherence to research protocols, audit case report forms, and prepare submissions for the Institutional Review Board (IRB).



  • Monitor study expenditures and coordinate with finance staff to maintain budgetary compliance.



  • Regularly interact with the principal investigator to ensure proper study conduct and patient safety.



  • Support in manuscript generation, grant writing, and securing funding for ongoing and future research initiatives.






  • Qualifications:


  • Experience with clinical trials, research methodologies, manuscript generation, and grant writing.



  • Familiarity with medical terminology, digital health, and the ability to collaborate with computer scientists and researchers.



  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


    Experience with conducting clinical trials and conducting research. Experience in writing scientific papers and grant writing. Basic experience in medical terminology, programming and computer science to communicate with computer scientists and researchers in the digital health field.










    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):





    Two-year college degree and two years related work experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience.










    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):


    ·Strong interpersonal skills.


    ·Manuscript generation and grant writing experience.


    ·Knowledge of medical terminology.











    CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:





    Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.








    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:




    ·Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat and use fine light/fine grasping.


    ·Occasionally sit, reach above shoulders, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.


    ·Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork or parts, rarely lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 40 pounds or more.

    The expected pay range for this position is $31.84 to $37.79 per hour.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
