Shift: 2nd Shift Schedules are not Monday thru Friday, may vary and may require overtime and holidays.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction
Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs
Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.
Required to wear a safety toe boot that can withstand 75lbs. at all times.
Experience Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of mechanic work experience or graduate of industrial maintenance experience training program or combination of experience and education to meet 2 year requirement.
Rehire Consideration:
180 days (6 months) waiting period
Max of two previous Tyson employments to be consider for hire
